CHARACTERISTICS


Shortly before her death on March 24, 2015, Düsseldorf citizen Beatrix Erbslöh established a foundation
named after her with a seed capital of € 1 million. The Beatrix Erbslöh Foundation supports research at
the Clinic for Hematology and Oncology at Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf. 

The board of trustees met on March 20, 2017. Members of the board of trustees are Prof. Dr. Norbert
Gattermann as Chairman, Prof. Dr. Rainer Haas as Deputy Chairman (both Clinic for Hematology and 
Oncology at Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf) and Eduard H. Dörrenberg, President of the
Gesellschaft von Freunden und Förderern der HHU. In their first meeting, the board of trustees appropriated
funds of € 50,000 for several projects regarding cancer research. 

As limited-term foundation, the Beatrix Erbslöh Foundation can access the foundation capital in order to
achieve the foundation goal. Thus, research projects up to € 100,000 per year can be enabled.
