Research award of the Christiane und Claudia Hempel-Stiftung für regenerative Medizin

The Christiane und Claudia Hempel-Stiftung (Foundation) für regenerative Medizin grants an annual award of € 15,000.
The award is given for work that deals with current problems and questions in stem-cell research, in particular in the fields of cardiology and neurology.

An example from 2015: In her research, HHU post-doc, Jessica Schira, deals with the transplantation of stem cells that are supposed to promote the regeneration of nerves after spinal cord injuries and, according to the foundation, could develop into a promising treatment option.
